The Alpine Dairy Museum presents the history of cheese trade and Alpine dairy-making in Bohinj. It is housed in the abandoned village cheese-dairy where cheese was still made as late as 1967. The original cheese-making workshop is preserved in the museum, with two large kettles for making cheese, presses for shaping it and original tools and utensils. A typical wooden Alpine herdsman hut and all its furnishings from the Zajamniki mountain pasture is also on display. Life in Bohinj mountain pastures is presented through various artefacts which reveal a wealth of ethnological heritage in this area.
