The exhibition Fancy a coffee? takes you on an aromatic journey through the history of coffee. From the earliest legends of its discovery and the Arab world to European coffee houses where great ideas, friendships and cultural movements were born. You will learn how coffee also found its way into Slovenian homes, where it became a symbol of hospitality, the morning ritual and getting together.

On display are carefully selected objects connected with making and drinking coffee – from grinders, coffee pots and porcelain sets to packaging and cups from which past generations sipped. Smell, sound and the exhibition atmosphere take visitors into a world where time moves a little more slowly and every sip has its own story.
