Beautiful Gorenjska je sodobna stalna razstava v gradu Khislstein, ki vas popelje na nepozabno potovanje skozi čas. V 12 tematskih sklopih odkrivate zgodbo pokrajine – od zgodnjega srednjega veka do gradov, srednjeveških mest, železarstva, narodnega prebujenja, razvoja industrije, turizma in sodobne Gorenjske.
The exhibition brings together more than 1,300 carefully selected museum objects, precious archaeological finds, artworks, everyday items and personal stories of people who shaped life in Gorenjska. Interactive content, soundscapes, photographs, and documentary and feature films complement the museum narrative, bringing the past to life in a vivid, immersive way.
A special exhibition path is woven together by the verses of France Prešeren and folk songs, giving each space added symbolic power and guiding visitors through the story of the region, its culture and its people.
Beautiful Gorenjska is not only an exhibition about history. It is a tribute to nature, work, creativity and the warmth of people who over the centuries shaped one of Slovenia’s most beautiful – and most mountainous – regions. It is a place where the past is not locked behind glass, but comes alive through objects, sounds, images and stories.
